Winter Wonderland Showcase
Academy of Dance holds an informal all school demonstration, “Winter Wonderland”, in December each year. This is either done as an in-class demonstration or as a short performance held at a local auditorium or our studio. Students have the opportunity to show families & friends various techniques they’ve learned in class from the beginning of the year.
June Formal Recital
Academy of Dance holds our all-school formal dance recital every June at a Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available for purchase in advance (refer to Calender of Events) and the day of recital. Costumes are ordered before winter demonstrations and are an extra expense that we collect by December. There is a mandatory dress rehearsal for this recital.
Class Pictures
Class and individual pictures of students in their recital costumes will be taken at the studio in June. Academy of Dance encourages all classmates to attend whether purchasing pictures or not, as these photographs are creating memories for a lifetime!
Summer Dance
Special classes and camps may be held in addition to our regularly scheduled classes and is a great time for new and existing students to dance. Parents are encouraged to attend the last week of classes for demonstrations and Awards.
Convention and Competitions
These are an opportunity for dancers 6 years and older, to attend classes with world-renowned faculty and perform at regional and national levels. Advance groups with a minimum of 6 students are required to form a dedicated group. Extra expenses and rehearsals are to be expected.
Workshops & Special Events
Dance workshops are throughout the year. Other events include pizza parties, movie night, parades, awards, skating parties, and more!
